Rehearsal Schedule & Important Dates
Sunday, March 13
Student Appreciation Day/Costume Pick Up Day/General Recital Ticket Sales Day
Recital tickets go on sale at Pam’s Academy of Dance in MORRIS from 12:30-3:30 p.m. for the PINK show only! Tickets are $16.00 each.
Friday & Saturday, April 8-9
Recital Photos will be taken& recommendation forms will be handed out. A detailed schedule will be handed out on March 11th.
Rehearsal times and detailed information is listed below. Attendance for all of the following rehearsals is imperative. If there is a conflict with any of the dates or times, please sign the rehearsal conflict sheet located at the front desk. A tentative recital order is attached to this schedule. Please check the list to find out which scene your child is in for each dance. If you need help, please ask a staff member for assistance.
Friday, May 13
In Studio Rehearsal will be held at Pam’s Academy of Dance in Morris. All dancers are to wear a leotard and tights with proper shoes.
4:15-5:30 Scene 1
5:45-6:45 Scene 2
6:45-7:00 Dinner Break
7:00-7:45 Scene 3
7:45-8:15 Scene 4
The Hot Dog Lunch will be available from 5:15-7:15 p.m.
Thursday, May 19
4:00-7:00 Pre-Registration for 2010-2011 Season will be held at the Morris Studio.
7:00-7:30 Recital Volunteer Meeting at the Morris Studio.
May 21-27
Parent Observation & Video Taping will be held during the last 10 minutes of class. Even-Year Student Awards will be handed out on this day, as well!
Wednesday, June 15th
Dress Rehearsal at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet.
All dancers are to wear their costumes and have their hair done and make up on upon arrival.
1:30 p.m. Dancers in Act 1 arrive
2:00-4:30 p.m. Act 1 (Scenes 1 & 2)
Again this year we will be utilizing a different dressing room space. This will allow dancers that are in Act 1 only to leave as the scene they are in is finished.
4:30 p.m. Act 2 Dancers are to arrive
5:00-7:00 p.m. Act 2 (Scenes 3 & 4)
7:00 p.m. Dismissal of Act 2 dancers
Please note: We have allowed extra time for the Dress Rehearsal to ensure that the students will be well prepared for recital night. Because of this, we have split the arrival times by Acts to make it more convenient for the dancers and their families. On Recital night, however, all dancers arrive at the same time, in order to lessen disruptions after the show begins. We anticipate the recital will be 2 hours in length. More details about Dress Rehearsal will be sent out in May.
** We will be putting the younger dancers and those that are only in Act 1 in a separate dressing room, which will be monitored by parent volunteers. After the scene they dance in, these dancers will be able to be signed out by a parent. If these dancers are going to watch the remainder of the show, he/she will need a ticket to get into the theatre or sit in a designated area. Once the dressing room mom assignments are completed, parents will know if this dismissal applies to their child. All other dancers will be in the backstage dressing rooms and will have to stay for the entire show. We will be utilizing this same procedure on Dress Rehearsal day in order to make sure it runs smoothly on the night of the Recital.
Friday, June 17th
18th Annual Morris Recital at 7:00 p.m. at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet
All dancers need to arrive between 6:15-6:30 p.m.
